“Congress leaders are bringing DK Shiva Kumar and Rahul Gandhi to fight against KCR and BJP is bringing PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and over 15 Chief Ministers of different states. That is why I say this is a fight between Delhi rulers and people of Telangana,” said KTR while addressing the people in Kamareddy today.
Rahul Gandhi says the fight in Telangana is between rulers and the common man. “This election is between Delhi rulers and Telangana people. In this fight the people of Telangana will only win again,” said KTR who also called Rahul Gandhi a reader and not a leader.
KTR stated that agitations and fights were not new to the people of Telangana. “Telangana people fought with Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and are now fighting with Narender Modi,” he said. He also added that Rahul Gandhi was a leader who did not participate in a single people’s movement, nor did he agitate for a cause or go to jail while fighting in the interest of the people. “Four crore people of Telangana will hit back at the Delhi rulers in this election,” KTR said.
Attacking the Congress party, KTR said in 1956 Congress forcefully united Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, in 1968 Congress killed 370 students during the Telangana statehood movement, and in 1971 forcefully took 11 parliamentarians from Telangana Praja Samithi into Congress to dilute the Telangana movement and kill the aspirations of the people of Telangana.
KTR stated that in 2004 once again Congress had promised to support Telangana Statehood but waited for 10 years until 2014 when the agitation was intensified by the students, youth, and martyrs of Telangana. He added that Congress gave Telangana not out of respect, but by force.
KTR asked the people to recollect Congress days when farmers were deprived of many benefits, apart from current and water problems, inadequate supply of seeds and fertilizers, and many more. KTR said that public representatives feared venturing into villages in summers during congress times as people protested on roads with empty pots, demanding drinking water.
KTR said that Congress is a party which has given Rs 200 as pension for six decades and now they are promising to give Rs 4000 as pension. People are not ready to trust Congress leaders and their false promises, he said.
KTR rubbished Revanth Reddy’s comments where he asked if KCR will contest from Kodangal, or should he come to Kamareddy. KTR said that Revanth Reddy has a history of going into people with his rifle during the Telangana movement, and he does not have the stature to challenge KCR.
KTR stated that Revanth Reddy earlier called Sonia Gandhi a ‘Bali Devatha’ and Rahul Gandhi a ‘Pappu’. After joining the Congress party Sonia became Kali Mata and Rahul Gandhi became fire like leader to Revanth Reddy, he said.
The BRS Working President said that Revanth Reddy talks about giving a three-hour power supply to farmers and Uttam Kumar Reddy feels Rythu Bandhu was a waste of money. “Do you want to vote for such leaders?” asked KTR.
Addressing the gathering, KTR said that CM KCR will file his nomination in Kamareddy on November 9th and will also address a public meeting. “People are believing that Kamareddy’s fate will change after CM KCR gets elected from here,” said KTR. He added that Congress leader Shabbir Ali who lost to Gampa Govardhan in earlier elections does not want to contest against KCR and is considering contesting from other places.
The BRS Working President appealed to the people to not waste their vote on leaders who will lose the election.
KTR slammed the Kamareddy BJP candidate who said KCR would take away lands from people if elected in Kamareddy. “KCR is a leader who fought and achieved Telangana statehood and served as CM for two terms. If he comes here, he will amplify the development in the region,” KTR said.
KTR highlighted that the BRS in its manifesto promised to give all rights on assigned lands to the Dalits. He asked the people to compare the land prices before 2014 and the present land prices which are higher than earlier.
During the meeting, KTR highlighted the BRS manifesto and said that the pension amount will be increased from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000, KCR Aarogya Raksha Scheme to increase ArogyaSri Bhima Scheme coverage to 15 lakh, and Annapurna Scheme would be implemented to provide Rice (Sanna Biyyam) to all ration card holders.
KTR ended his speech by appealing to the people to make CM KCR’s program a grand success on November 9th
