During the conversation, PM Modi commended Rohit Sharma for his outstanding leadership as captain and acknowledged his remarkable T20I career. He also highlighted Virat Kohli’s pivotal innings of 76 runs and his significant contributions to Indian cricket. PM Modi expressed gratitude to Rahul Dravid, who recently stepped down as head coach, for his contributions to the team’s success.
The Prime Minister applauded Hardik Pandya for his crucial performance in the final over and Suryakumar Yadav for his game-changing catch that dismissed David Miller. He also recognized Jasprit Bumrah for his invaluable contributions to both the T20 World Cup victory and Indian cricket.
